The Prime Minister said this participating in a meeting of sales agents of the Development Lotteries Board which was held at Water’s Edge, Colombo today (29.04.2024).
The Prime Minister further commented at the event that - " Firstly, I wish success and congratulate the Development Lotteries Board on behalf of the government. The support and assistance given to various fields of the country for more than 40 years by the monetary donation and investment by the Development Lotteries Board is hereby remembered. The agents of the Development Lotteries Board who have been able to obtain the contribution of the public to spread the value and meaning of the Development Lottery across the country can be proud today.
To invest for the future of the country, we were able to invest in educational development programs, specifically in Mahapola, which paved the way for the future of the country. This educational contribution is for the next generation.
In the long and proud journey of the Development Lotteries Board, which contributes to many such achievements of the government led by President Ranil Wickremesinghe. We pay respect to all sales agents for your contribution to move the country forward through the economic and financial crisis."
A group including Minister Bandula Gunawardena, State Ministers Shehan Semasinghe and Suren Raghavan, Members of Parliament Gamini Lokage, Madura Withanage, C.B. Ratnayake, Rajitha Senaratne, Chairman of the Development Lotteries Board Ajith Naragala participated in this event.
