Sri Lanka Red Cross Society and Uber Sri Lanka brief Prime Minister about new joint project

A delegation of Uber Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Red Cross Society called on Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena to brief him on their new project at the Prime Minister’s Office in Parliament on Sept 1. The Prime Minister thanked them for the USD 200,000 donation they announced to help vulnerable communities affected by the economic crisis. The donations will be used to distribute food and life-saving medicines across the country.
The delegation included Uber’s visiting global executive, Saskia de Jongh, Regional General Manager for Delivery in the APAC region, Jagath Abeysinghe, President, Sri Lanka Red Cross Society, Bhavna Dadlani Jayawardena, General Manager, Uber Sri Lanka, and Kumari Kothalawala, Branch Executive Officer Chairman, Sri Lanka Red Cross Society, Colombo Branch.
