Many benefits to a number of sectors in Sri Lanka as a result of PM’s visit to Korea

Governor of Gyeongsangbuk-du Province of the Republic of South Korea, Lee Cheol Woo met with Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena on 03.04.2024 at the Governor’s office, in Andong in Gyeongsangbuk-du.

The Provincial Government agreed to offer many benefits for education and higher education, agriculture, fisheries, women and rural development in Sri Lanka during the talks. They also discussed the potential for launching investment projects too.

Relationship between the sister cities of China’s Shanghai and Colombo is in rapid development...

It was agreed to establish a strong relationship between Shanghai, China, which is ranked first among the world’s port cities, and the cities of Colombo and Hambantota, which have been planned to be developed as a maritime hub in the East and West shipping routes in the future.

A meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena was held today (27.03.2024) at Great Hall, Beijing.

Both countries agreed to continue to act under the friendship, peace, mutual respect and fivefold principle in international affairs that do not interfere in the internal affairs of a country. It was emphasized that bilateral relations should be based on mutual respect and mutual productivity between the countries, and acting according to that policy would set a good example for both countries.

Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena left this evening for Beijing on an official visit on the invitation of the Government of China.
