Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya met with the Acting Chief Prelate of the Atamasthana, Venerable Ethalawatunuwewe Gnanathilaka Thero, on 10 October and received his blessings.
The Prime Minister visited Venerable Ethalawatunuwewe Gnanathilaka Thero while during her visit in the North Central Province to inspect schools. During the meeting, the Acting Chief Prelate invoked blessings on the Government’s new programme and highlighted the importance of raising public awareness of education policies, government policies and agricultural policies.
Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development and Anuradhapura District Member of Parliament, Wasantha Samarasinghe, also participated in the occasion.
