Prime Minister wishes success to the Sri Lankan Netball Team.

The team participating in the Asian Netball Championship, which is held in India, met the Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya today (14).

The Prime Minister engaged in a friendly discussion with the players of the team and wished them success for their victory.

Dulangi Wannithilaka leads the team this time, and Coach Deepi Nalika Prasadi, Manager Padmini Horanage, Chairperson of the Asian Netball Federation Lakshmi Victoria, Physician of the team Dr. Lal Ekanayake, and Masseur Manoj Darshana join with the team.

For the first time, 14 Asian countries will participate in this championship. The opening ceremony of this year’s tournament will be held on 17th October at 3:00 pm and the tournament will be held from October 18th to 27th in Bangalore, India.

The captain of the team is Dulangi Wannithilake, and Hasitha Mendis, Rashmi Divyanjali, Gayangali Amarawansha, Thishala Algama, Shanika Perera, Gayani Disanayaka, Gayathri Kaushalya, Suseema Bandara, Sachini Rodrigo, Malmi Hettiarachchi, and Chlini Nisha are the remaining players.
