High-Level Pakistani Business Delegation Meets with Sri Lankan Prime Minister.

A High-Level Business Delegation from Pakistan paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, Yesterday (29) at the Prime Minister’s Office.

The meeting commenced with the Prime Minister expressing her appreciation for the longstanding partnership between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, underscoring the importance of strengthening economic cooperation and trade connectivity.

The leaders also discussed increasing air connectivity, a step anticipated to benefit Sri Lanka’s tourism industry, while exploring broader measures to fortify the bilateral relationship.

Representing the Government of Sri Lanka were Mr. Pradeep Saputhanthri, Secretary to the Prime Minister, Mr. M. M. Nayeemudeen, Secretary of Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security, Cooperative Development, Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, Mr. Jagath Abeywarna, Consul General of Consulate General of Karachchi in Sri Lanka, Mr. Mahinda Gunarathne, Additional Secretary to the Prime Minister, Mr. Niluka Kadurugamuwa, Director-General, Public Diplomacy, South Asia & SAARC division, Mrs. Buddhika Wimalasena, Deputy Director, Economic Affairs – Bilateral division at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Tilan M. Wijesooriya, Secretary General of the Federation of Chamber of Commerce.
